NICK DUNAWAY:

Entering the Transfer Portal May 1, 2026. Nick brings with him 4 years of eligibility and 1 year of NCAA Division 1 experience. While attending Gardner-Webb University as a true freshman Nick dominated in the development program and was identified to train and play with the varsity team. Spring 2026 Nick played 5 out of 5 spring games on the varsity team.

Described by coaches as a "jack knife of a player" capable of filling multiple roles and playing at a high level wherever needed. Nick has been recognized by the coaching staff at Gardner-Webb for both his on field and off the field character. Consistent, punctual and helpful he leads by example and is respected by his peers.

A well rounded player with an exceptional Soccer IQ and field view. Due to his ability to control tempo, see the better pass and create opportunities, Nick is an effective playmaker as a CB, 6 or RB.  Nick's movement off the ball moves defenders and creates space. Always willing to try new things and take on a challenge, Nick has experience in every position and can adapt to and compliment any formation or playing style. Utilized as a defender Nick has become a dynamic center back where he finished off his youth and high school career. He has recently excelled as a right back for Gardner-Webb University.
